Don, Chapel Bay

Alexander Fraser Alexander Fraser

BSc (Saint Mary's)

Alex (he/they) is the Don of Chapel Bay. He hopes all King’s residence students both new and returning, find their communities, and enjoy what residence has to offer!

Alex completed his BSc in psychology at Saint Mary’s University in 2022, focusing on Industrial/Organizational and Personnel Psychology. Having found great friends through Saint Mary’s residence, he was inspired to get involved, and has three years under his belt as a Residence Assistant, running the annual Trick or Eat food drive in 2019, and coordinating the Residence Banquet in 2018 and 2019.

Currently, Alex is working towards acquiring his Chartered Human Resources Professional designation. The rest of his downtime is spent playing all sorts of video games, board games and table-top role-playing games, and finding time to squeeze in a spin class or two. You’ll likely find him biking to and from campus.

Dons are either upper-year King’s students or young professionals who live within a residence floor or bay and provide support to residents in their community.

They can help with:

  • Community building & programming
  • Conflict resolution between community members
  • Providing referrals to campus supports

Dons are the first line of support for individuals living in residence. There is a Don on Call available for urgent/immediate support each evening, weekend and holiday.

The Don on Call (4 p.m.–8 a.m., Mon-Fri & 24/7 on weekends and holidays) can assist with:

  • After hours incident response
  • After hours emergency response
