Christine is a seasoned business professional with expertise in financial management, human resources and organizational development. Prior to joining the University of King’s College, she built her career within several of Canada’s respected organizations, advancing through progressive roles including Business Consultant and Director. Her professional experience spans multiple sectors, with a strong focus on operational excellence, advisory services and workforce development.
Christine holds a Master of Business Administration from the triple-accredited University of Liverpool, a member of the Russell Group of leading research-intensive universities. She completed a three-year program in Business Administration–Management Studies and undertook additional studies in Human Resources and Labour Relations. Her postgraduate research examined employer branding within the Canadian business services sector, with particular attention to monetary and non-monetary value propositions that influence talent attraction and retention.
Her professional background includes work with Canada’s top-ranked bookkeeping firm, as recognized by IPBC/CPB, as well as pension administration and consulting services for high-profile national clients. Christine holds multiple professional designations, certifications and credentials, including IFIC, CCS, CIM, LLQP, Cloud Practitioner, Consulting and PCP.
During the COVID-19 pandemic, Christine served as Director of Human Resources and Payroll for two financial services firms specializing in bookkeeping and accounting. In this role, she successfully navigated rapidly evolving regulatory environments while ensuring accurate, compliant financial administration. She worked closely with cross-functional teams, business owners and senior leaders, supporting more than 100 clients concurrently.
In addition to her leadership roles, Christine has provided financial and human resources services to a wide range of organizations. Her work includes government sector year-end advisory support, human resources and payroll for educational institutions, the development and implementation of human resources policies, and the establishment of HR functions for growing mid-sized organizations. She has also contributed as a faculty member in business and continuing education programs in Alberta.
Outside of her professional role at King’s, Christine has a keen interest in the performing and visual arts and enjoys spending time in nature. She is also developing an interest in biomechanics and its applications in enhancing physical health and overall quality of life.
