Daniel Konopelski

Student Ambassador

Daniel Konopelski Daniel Konopelski

Daniel (he/him) is a current fourth-year student from Illinois (specifically from the Chicago Metropolitan Area), completing a combined honours in Contemporary Studies and Social Anthropology.

People may recognize him on campus as a member of Patrol, the first point of contact in residence at night; one of two Residence Community Engagement Assistants (RCEA) that help with event programming in the residence community; as a regular in the HMCS King’s Wardroom where he hosts regular trivia nights with his well-crafted, edited advertisements and takeovers being filled with easter eggs. Regardless of what projects and classes Daniel is doing, he is a well recognized and respected figure at King’s for students and staff.

Daniel is also a seasoned traveler and completed one of King’s two study-abroad classes in Berlin in May 2023 and explored parts of Canada, the US, and Europe with 13 countries under his belt so far.

As a student ambassador, Daniel brings his experience as an international student in a combined honours program along with his experience in the Foundation Year Program from 2021 – 2022. He is also familiar with details about finances and residence that come with studying in Canada as an international student and the anxieties that relate to the formalities of traveling internationally and being far from home for extended periods of time.
