I am a second year Voice student in the Bachelor of Music program and will also be pursuing an English minor. I grew up in Mississauga, Ontario, but I have known that I wanted to live in Nova Scotia since I was six years old!
I am so excited to be starting my first year in the Peer Academic Advising role. I feel really grateful that I have the opportunity to help people plan such an exciting phase of their lives, even when it feels scary or stressful. I look forward to sharing all the fun classes Kings and Dalhousie have to offer and helping others stay continually curious.
In my free time I love to go for walks and explore Halifax with friends, listen to music, cook in my new apartment and paint with watercolours. You will likely find me in the King’s Library researching my repertoire or on my way to a choir rehearsal.
Tips for success: Don’t be afraid to show you care—to your profs/tutors, your friends, your coworkers, to anyone. It is fun to care! It is freeing to care! Loving your life, studies and your people feels really great. People love to see people who are passionate and excited to live, so don’t be shy, be “chalant.” 🙂
