Now in his second season with the program, Assistant Coach Johnny Borden brings a strong foundation of coaching experience and player development to King’s Men’s Basketball. Before joining the collegiate ranks, Borden was the Head Coach of the Varsity Men’s Basketball Team at Sackville High School.
He currently serves as the Head Coach of the U18 boy’s team with YHZ Basketball Association, an elite-level summer program focused on high-performance development. This past summer, he led the U18 squad to a Canadian Hoops Circuit National Championship in Toronto — a standout achievement on the national stage.
Originally from Guysborough, Nova Scotia, and raised in Malton, Ontario, Borden blends East Coast toughness with the fast-paced energy of urban basketball culture. His commitment to mentorship, development, and competitive excellence continues to elevate the program both on and off the court.
