Holiday closure: The King's campus is closed from end of day December 20 to January 2.
The undefeated home streak continues for the UKC women, who stayed perfect in the weekend game, finishing with a 3-1 over the visiting Chargers of Crandall University. A strong start from Beate Shannon’s side saw the Blue Devils cruise to a 25-15 win in the first set, before narrowly dropping the second set to the visitors 23-25. An equally competitive 3rd set required extended points, with King’s pulling ahead late to take a 27-25 win and a 2-1 advantage heading into the fourth. Confidence at a premium, the UKC Women iced the match with a comfortable 25-18 scoreline to finish the match 3-1.
With the win, the Blue Devils improve to 4-2 on the season, tied for third in the league alongside Holland College, and only two points behind second placed Mount Allison, who have played 2 additional games. A pair of home games this coming weekend against the aforementioned Mounties and the Rams of Dal AC will give the UKC women a clear opportunity to close in on second place in the league ahead of the midseason break in December.
