Join Margo Quinlan (Social Worker Candidate; she/they) and Isaac Wright, (Registered Social Worker, he/they) for a group to explore your gender identity, feelings about gender and ways to present your gender in the world (or at home!). This is a group for students of any gender identity who want to connect with other gender-expansive peers, have a dedicated space to explore aspects of social, legal, and medical transition, and connect with community. No need to be “out” or identify as trans to join – but those with trans identities and experiences of any type of transition are welcome to join as well.
Led by therapist Margo Quinlan with a different community guest each week—including guests from the Halifax Sexual Health Centre, the Youth Project and more!
Margo Quinlan (she/they) is a queer, trans, neurodivergent social worker and therapist dedicated to empowering individuals and communities through compassionate, personalized care. Her clinical practice is kink and sex positive, particularly while she is supporting couples and polycules in building strong foundations of secure emotional attachment. With a decade of experience in activism and organizing in Baltimore, Maryland, Margo has led transformative efforts to advance queer and trans rights, including improving trans healthcare, advocating for prison abolition, supporting birthing justice and healthcare equity, and promoting housing rights. Her background in community organizing informs her therapeutic approach, providing insight into the systemic roots of minority stress and its impact on her clients. Outside of her professional life, Margo enjoys spending time with her children, her partners, and her beloved queer and trans community.
