BA(Hons) (Vind), MLitt(St And)
Beth Hawco (she/her) is a proud Haligonian and King’s graduate. She holds a BA(Hons) in Early Modern Studies and History, with a Certificate in Art History and Visual Culture from the University of Kings College, and an MLitt in Museum and Gallery Studies from the University of St Andrews. There, she was selected to participate in an intensive placement course at L’École du Louvre where she was taught by leading Paris-based curators and researchers on French museology, the history of museums, and the history of Bourbon private collections.
Beth caught the travel bug while at King’s, taking advantage of the College’s study abroad opportunities and enjoying summer programs in Florence, Italy, and Český Krumlov, Czechia. Still, at heart, Beth is a true Maritimer, and delights in introducing newcomers to our beautiful city. When not at work, Beth can usually be found enjoying yoga and walks along the Halifax Boardwalk, or indulging in her two great passions, ballet and her adorable Labradoodle, Chandler Bing.
