2017 Awards

Holiday closure: The King's campus is closed from end of day December 20 to January 2.

Madi Haslam (BJH ’17) won the Governor-General’s Silver Medal for journalistic excellence at Encaenia.

Benjamin von Bredow (BAH ’17) was awarded the King’s Medal, for the graduating student who “stands highest in an Honours programme in an Arts or Science subject”.

University medals are granted by each program in the Faculty of Arts and Sciences to the student with the highest grade. King’s graduates won the following university medals:

  • University Medal in Gender and Women’s Studies: Hanna Barrie (BAH ’17)
  • University Medal in International Development Studies: Rachel Berman (BAH ’17)
  • University Medal in History of Science and Technology: William Frappier (BAH ’17) and Matthew Green (BAH ’17)
  • University Medal in Religious Studies: Allison Graham (BAH ’17)
  • University Medal in Early Modern Studies and
    University Medal in Theatre: Kate Jordan (BAH ’17)
  • University Medal in European Studies: Hannah Medley (BAH ’17)
  • University Medal in History: Margaret O’Riordan-Ross (BAH ’17)
  • University Medal in Contemporary Studies and
    Eric Dennis Gold Medal in Political Science: Rebecca Steele (BAH ’17)
