Covid-19 Precautions for the May 6 Graduation Celebrations

We are excited to welcome graduates from the Classes of 2020 and 2021 and their families to King’s for our Graduation Celebrations on May 6. Here are some Covid-19 precautions we are taking to ensure the event is as safe as possible:

  • Masks will be required at all May 6 events (except when eating or drinking and by those who are speaking at the events)
  • Vaccination including boosters is both important in reducing transmission and even more important in reducing the risk of serious illness from infection. If you are planning to come to the celebrations on May 6 and you have not yet been vaccinated or not yet received your second dose or booster, you are urged to get that first, second or booster shot if you are able to in the next few weeks.
  • We also encourage everyone attending to take at least two rapid screening tests in the days immediately before the event. Please do not attend if you have a positive test result or if you have any Covid symptoms on May 6, or in the days before May 6, unless you have two negative rapid Covid test results before coming to campus on May 6.
  • A Covid screening site will be available on campus immediately before May 6 and on May 6 to facilitate testing. Details on timing and location of this site will follow.
