Wheelchair Loan Program

The University of King’s College is committed to reducing barriers and supporting access across campus. As part of this work, the Accessibility Office has a manual wheelchair available for short-term loan to assist students navigating the King’s and Dalhousie campus.

This resource is intended to support temporary mobility needs and short-term access challenges. It is not a long-term mobility solution or a substitute for equipment arranged through a healthcare provider.

The Wheelchair Loan Program may be helpful for students recovering from an injury, experiencing temporary mobility limitations or needing short-term support for moving between classes or buildings. Students requiring long-term mobility equipment should consult with their healthcare provider to determine appropriate fit and use.

The wheelchair is property of the Accessibility Office at the University of King’s College and may be used on the King’s campus and/or on the Dalhousie campus when travelling to and from classes during the day. The wheelchair may not be used off campus and is not available for extended or long-term loan.
