For intimate gatherings of 10 to lively events of 300+, King’s offers distinctive, character-rich venues available for rental. Providing spaces designed to support diverse events from conferences and ceremonies to performances, athletic programming and creative uses like film and media production.
We provide on-site services such as internet, AV services, exclusive catering and assistance with practical logistics including parking, requested accommodations and recommendations for off-site experiences. You maintain control over planning and executing your event, while we ensure the space is ready to support your vision.

This classic dining hall can seat 250 guests for meals and more for any number of functions including music and dancing, and lectures/screenings. The high ceilings, classic architecture and adjoining kitchen make this an ideal venue for large receptions.

The KTS Lecture Hall (King’s Theatrical Society) is a small, modern amphitheatre ideal for conferences, classes and general meetings. It can also be used as a theatre space.

This lounge and the adjoining common area (located in the New Academic Building) make an excellent venue for a wine and cheese party or reception. Plush leather sofas and chairs, mock fireplace and periodical library combine to create an intimate setting.

The King’s Athletics Department is a hidden treasure for mid-size athletic meets, wellness seminars, clinics and events. The facility offers a floating hardwood floor gymnasium, as well as a 2,500 sq. ft. sprung dance floor rarely found in Halifax with excellent media capabilities and acoustics (ideal for dance, yoga, pilates and martial arts). Our athletics space features a weight room, cardio room and a varsity media room that seats up to 30 people.

“The Pit” is a black box theatre with seating for 200 and may be Halifax’s best kept secret as a performance venue or alternate reception space.

King’s has a series of classrooms and seminar rooms also available that can accommodate anywhere from 20 to more than 60 people. Each has varying features including wireless microphones and presentation and visual playback capabilities.
