Join the chorus! The King’s Chorus is open to all members of our community. If you’d like a chance to sing no matter what your experience, come make joyful noise together.
Rehearsals start September 4 in the King’s Chapel.
Here’s what you’ll be singing for the fall semester:
Antonio Vivaldi (1678-1741) Magnificat in G minor, RV 610
W.A. Mozart (1756-91) Missa Brevis in D, K. 194
Alessandro Scarlatti (1660-1725) Dixit Dominus in B-flat major
The King’s Chorus is a choral society dedicated to making a joyful noise together at the University of King’s College in Halifax, NS. We learn and rehearse major choral works from various traditions, and share what we’ve learned with the Halifax community in a concert each semester.
The King’s Chorus is committed to fostering a supportive environment where singers of all levels can improve their musicality and enjoy themselves in the process. We sing challenging and beautiful music, and we make sure to have fun while we do, cultivating an inclusive and non-competitive atmosphere in which to participate.
