Matriculation dates back to the early 19th century. It is a ceremony in which students are formally welcomed as members of the University of King’s College. Dressed in the college’s traditional academic gowns, students inscribe their names in the Matricula, the college’s register. With this act, they symbolically join the community of thousands of King’s students who came before them.

This year, Matriculation will be held in two ceremonies—one on September 26 and one on September 27.

Students eligible to matriculate have received an email indicating which ceremony they are to attend and containing an RSVP form that they must complete by September 18. Please check your university email inbox for this message.
