This event will be live streamed on King’s YouTube channel.

Matriculation dates back to the early 19th century. It is a ceremony in which students are formally welcomed as members of the University of King’s College. Dressed in the college’s traditional academic gowns, students inscribe their names in the Matricula, the college’s register. With this act, they symbolically join the community of thousands of King’s students who came before them.

This year Matriculation will be held twice with ceremonies on September 21 and October 6.

Matriculation will begin with an oath sworn in Alumni Hall. After the oath, there will be a reception and students will have the opportunity to sign the Matricula in the lobby of the Arts & Administration Building.

Students eligible for Matriculation have been sent an invitation indicating which ceremony they are to attend. Academic gowns are required and instructions for picking up gowns will be communicated to students prior to the ceremony.
