Wonder how to verify headlines on your newsfeed? How do you tell fact from fiction on social media and the news? Interested in learning how journalists fact check news stories? Join our virtual workshop and learn how to spot a hoax!

Tim Currie, the Director of the King’s School of Journalism, will lead a workshop that examines viral headlines to help you learn how to fact check and debunk false headlines and to recognize actual news stories. This workshop will help you build media literacy skills that will help you navigate the digital media landscape. Tim Currie will also be able to answer any questions you may have about King’s journalism programs. The event will take place over Zoom, on Sunday, March 28 at 4 p.m. AST. We plan on recording this event and will make the video available to all registrants.
