Join Sexual Health & Safety Officer Maggie Ombayo for a Waves of Change Workshop!

Waves of Change is a peer-led bystander intervention training and violence prevention program facilitated across Nova Scotian post-secondary institutions.

Taking a preventative approach to campus sexual violence, Waves of Change trains participants to recognize sexual violence, interrupt and/or stop it, support survivors after it has happened, hold perpetrators accountable, and contribute to dismantling the culture that allows sexual violence to occur.

Drawing on such subjects as intersectionality and power dynamics, Waves of Change encourages participants to reflect on their unique identities and how those can affect/play a part in creating a safer campus culture, and what they can do to make a change.

This workshop is open to all King’s students and residents. It is a part of the Entering Your Adult Era: a life skills workshop series. Attendees can enter their names into an end of term draw for a $150 VISA gift card!
