2020 Awards

Alexandra Sarah Bruch, BJ(Hons.)’20, won the Governor-General’s Silver Medal for journalistic excellence.

Caleb Sher, BA(Hons)’20, was awarded the King’s Medal, for the graduating student who “stands highest in an Honours program in an Arts or Science subject.”

Karla Renic was awarded the Jim MacNeill Prize.

University medals are granted by each program in the Faculty of Arts and Sciences to the student with the highest grade. King’s graduates won the following university medals:

  • University Medal in Contemporary Studies: Caleb Sher
  • University Medal in Creative Writing: Jack Smith
  • University Medal in French and in Spanish: Elizabeth Scott-Black
  • University Medal in Early Modern Studies: Taryn Neufeld
  • University Medal in History: Christine Hughes 
  • University Medal in History of Science & Technology and in Philosophy: Cameron Yetman
  • University Medal in International Development Studies: Brianna Dukeshire 
  • University Medal in Russian Studies: Ellen Zagar
  • University Medal in Sociology: Rena Vanstone
