On July 9, the Rev. Canon Russell Elliott (BA ’37, BDiv ’52, DD ’79) fêted his 100th birthday at a celebration at St. John’s Anglican Church near Port Williams, Nova Scotia.

Rev. Elliott, who was ordained in 1941, has served several rural Nova Scotian parishes over his illustrious career and was archdeacon of Nova Scotia and Prince Edward Island for 15 years. He published a memoir about his efforts in 1996, entitled The Briefcase Boys.
