Paul Atanya, BA'93, pens “how-to” guide for potential immigrants

Calgary-based career and employment consultant Paul Atanya’s second book, DESTINATION CANADA: Tools for Success, is now available on Amazon. Intended for anyone preparing to or contemplating a move to Canada, Paul’s book shares proven strategies for a successful resettlement, adaptation and integration into our country and culture.

Paul offers tips and information on successfully securing employment and gaining professional accreditation, adapting to Canadian workplace culture, accessing academic upgrading and language training, accessing financial support for education and other essential topics.

Born and raised in Sudan, Paul emigrated to Canada to attend King’s. He also holds a Master’s in Marine Management from Dalhousie. A career advisor for the Centre for Newcomers in Calgary, Paul is also a philanthropist who directs his energies and time to building schools for boys and girls in the Republic of South Sudan. His first book, a novel entitled Bloodshed in Mana, was published in 2012.
