Shannon Fay’s (BJH ’09) appreciation for Japanese animation and comics goes back as far as starting the King’s anime club in first year (2005). You can imagine the excitement when a friend approached Fay about doing work for manga publishing company, Seven Seas.
With twelve years and dozens of series under her belt, Fay has been nominated for an Eisner award in the ‘Best U.S. Edition of International Material – Asia’ category for a series titled, Orange. The Eisner awards are named for comic pioneer Will Eisner and one of the industry’s highest honours. “I’m really happy to see Orange get this kind of attention,” says Fay.
