Caprice Strgar (she/her) is a second-year student pursuing a degree in Gender & Women’s Studies and Contemporary Studies with a minor in Philosophy. She is originally from Ontario and completed the full International Baccalaureate (IB) Diploma Programme in high school. She was drawn to King’s by the vibrant intellectual community and the unique academic experience FYP promises.
Caprice is involved on the King’s campus in a variety of ways that are important to her. She works as a Peer Educator with the Sexual Health and Safety Office where she contributes to cultivating a culture of consent on campus through education by way of resources and events and is interested in thinking about how forms of oppression intersect in academic/intellectual spaces. She also works as a Student Ambassador/Campus Tour Guide through which she enjoys opportunities to connect with prospective students. She also serves as the Vice-President of the King’s Co-op Bookstore which is a must-see place in Halifax! Off campus, Caprice enjoys working in various literary spaces including a poetry organization and a literary magazine.
