Carolle Fernando Carolle Fernando

Carolle is a Partner in the Business Law group at Cox & Palmer specializing in tax and corporate law. Carolle works with a broad range of business clients advising on income tax planning, corporate reorganizations, acquisitions, sale planning and cross-border planning.

In addition to her law practice, Carolle has an artistic background and brings a creative lens to her work. She co-founded Mocean Dance in 2001, a flagship organization for contemporary dance in Atlantic Canada that continues to thrive today, providing a forum for professional dance artists, dance creation and production in the region. Carolle acted as co-artistic director for Mocean for the company’s first decade.

Carolle is a graduate from Dalhousie Schulich School of Law and was called to the bar in Nova Scotia (2003) and Ontario (2019) and has completed the Chartered Professional Accountants of Canada In-Depth Tax Course. An active member of the Canadian Tax Foundation, she presents regularly at the Atlantic Tax Conference. Carolle has served on the boards of the Nova Scotia Masterworks Awards Foundation, the Legacy Centre for the Performing Arts and the Nova Scotia Talent Trust awards committee.

Born and raised in Prospect Bay, Nova Scotia, Carolle is a mother of two boys and has made her home in that community.
