Dale MacLennan Dale MacLennan

Dale MacLennan is a co-opted member of the Board of Governors. She is a graduate of Dalhousie University and a member of CPA, N.S. In more than 30 years of service in public sector finance roles, Dale has served as the senior financial officer for a variety of public organizations including the provincial departments of Health, Business and Consumer Services and Economic Development, as well as several N.S. municipalities.

Dale is currently the Executive Project Lead for the N.S. Department of Finance and Treasury Board, having previously served as Executive Director of the Finance team serving N.S. Department of Community Services, a role she held since 2013. Dale has worked extensively with local governments, holding the position of HRM Director of Finance for nine years and, early in her career, with the Town of Windsor.

Significant transformational change has been a common element in the public sector organizations Dale has supported during her career. She worked as an external consultant for five years with clients that included non-profit organizations, municipalities and provincial departments.

Dale has served in a variety of volunteer roles including as a member of CICA Women’s Leadership Committee and ICANS Complaints Committee, former President Mermaid Theatre in Windsor, Trustee St. Matthews’ United Church, adoption counsellor NS SPCA; Hope for Wildlife and last year participated as a swimmer in the Brigadoon Big Swim in Baddeck in support of Brigadoon Village.
