Olivia received a BA in Women’s and Gender Studies from Mount Allison University in 2018, and a Master of Arts in Gender Studies from Queen’s University in 2019. While completing her Master’s, she moved back home to Nova Scotia to work at the Antigonish Women’s Resource Center and Sexual Assault Services Association. She spent over two years working as the program coordinator for the Healthy Relationships for Youth Program. During this time, Olivia facilitated workshops on consent, healthy relationships, intersectionality, homophobia and transphobia to university, high school, and junior high students. Since then, she has created consent and sexual violence prevention resources for the Corner Brook Status of Women Council in Newfoundland. She is thrilled to be working as the Waves of Change Coordinator where she is able to work in sexual violence prevention at universities and colleges across Nova Scotia. Outside of her work with Waves of Change, Olivia is a writer and a poet.
