Suzannah Showler Suzannah Showler

Suzannah Showler (she/her) is the author of two collections of poetry and a book of cultural criticism. Her first novel, Quality Time, was published by McClelland & Stewart in 2023.

You can read her writing in The New York Times Magazine, Harper’s, Slate, The Walrus, Buzzfeed Reader, Maisonneuve, Hazlitt and elsewhere. Her work has been awarded and recognized by the Writers’ Trust of Canada, the League of Canadian Poets, The Koffler Centre for the Arts and the National Magazine Awards; it has been funded by The Canada Council for the Arts, The BC Arts Council, The Ontario Arts Council, The Toronto Arts Council, Access Copyright Canada, and the Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council of Canada. She was a 2017-2018 Ohio State Presidential Fellow.

Suzannah currently teaches creative writing, does childcare and is the poetry editor for Maisonneuve. She lives on unceded Sḵwx̱wú7mesh (Squamish), Səl̓ílwətaʔ/Selilwitulh (Tsleil-Waututh) and xʷməθkʷəy̓əm (Musqueam) land (Vancouver) with her family.
