Welcome to the King’s Writing Workshops Registration Page

Registration for King's Writing Workshops

  • Workshop fee + Special Pricing

    $549 + $82.35 (15% HST)=$631.35

    $499 + $74.85 (15% HST)=$573.85 (if discount applies*)

    *Members of the Writers’ Federation of Nova Scotia and King’s students, faculty, staff, parents and alumni get $50 off the price of each workshop.
    If you qualify for the discount, you may apply it to your own workshop fee by subtracting $50 from the total cost. OR, you may opt to pay the full course fee, and contribute the discount portion of $50 to a bursary that would allow a writer facing financial challenges to attend a workshop.
    *Cheques should be payable to University of King's College. Signed cheques must be received by September 30th in order to secure a spot in the workshop (address is below). **Participants wishing to pay using online banking can write to dido.devlin@ukings.ca or gillian.turnbull@ukings.ca for instructions on how to do so. We are only able to accept payment by CHEQUE or VISA, Mastercard, or American Express at this time. We are unable to accept VISA Debit.

Registration fees

All workshop fees are due upon registration.

Signed cheques must be received by the Department Administrator by September 30th, 2023, in order to secure a place in the workshop.

You may to drop off a cheque to the front desk in the A & A Building, or mail it to:

Cancelling your registration

To cancel your workshop registration, contact us at Dido.Devlin@ukings.ca.

We will provide a full refund of registration fees if you withdraw before September 19, 2023.

We are able to provide an 50% refund of registration fees if you withdraw between September 20, 2023 and October 1, 2023.

We are unable to provide a refund in any amount for a cancellation made on or after the start date of the workshop.

Cancellation by the Writing and Publishing Department

Insufficient enrollment:

Should a workshop be cancelled as a result of low enrollment, registrants will be notified immediately and registration fees will be reimbursed in full.

Postponement:

Should a workshop be postponed, registered individuals will be notified immediately and offered a full refund. The workshop will be rescheduled for the first available date, and subsequently, the cancellation periods pertaining to full and partial fee refunds will apply to the new start date.
