Campus closed for holidays: The King's campus is closed from end of day December 20 to January 2.

An equitable, diverse, accessible and inclusive King’s benefits the entire community.

To make a King’s education more accessible, there are many scholarships and bursaries open to all students. In addition to these, King’s offers scholarships and awards uniquely available to students who would contribute to the diversification of our community. These include scholarships and awards for Indigenous students (especially Mi’kmaq) and students of Black/African descent (especially African Nova Scotians). King’s also offers two Post-Care Tuition Waivers annually to former youth-in-care for undergraduate study.

Gordon Earle Scholarship

The Gordon Earle Scholarship is awarded to an African Nova Scotian student entering the Foundation Year Program

Dr. Carrie Best Scholarship

The Dr. Carrie Best Scholarship is awarded to a Black Canadian or Indigenous student in Canada

Sylvia D. Hamilton Award

The Sylvia D. Hamilton Awards are awarded to African Canadian students

Mi'kmaw Journalism Initiative

The University of King’s College will cover tuition costs for up to three Mi’kmaw students per year in the Bachelor of Journalism (Honours) program and encourage L’nu’k from Mi’kma’ki with lived experience to apply.

Global News Scholarship

The Global News Scholarship will be awarded to a Black Canadian student entering the Bachelor of Journalism (Honours) program in September 2022
