Campus closed for holidays: The King's campus is closed from end of day December 20 to January 2.
Books by Heart is a public humanities project that explores the potential of book culture to affect patients and staff in a hospital setting.
The King’s community has free, unlimited access to a collection of accessible Atlantic Canadian eBooks and audiobooks for the 2022-23 school year, with an extension into the summer until the end of August!
This project will be piloted at Nova Scotia Health’s QEII Health Sciences Centre and is being tested at the University of King’s College. Atlantic Books is providing the digital book collection and is working with publishers to ensure the books meet digital accessibility standards, which will be an integral part of the hospital project.
At King’s, Books by Heart is also an experiential learning opportunity, providing students with opportunities to turn ideas into action and evolution alongside a diverse group of professionals working to advance this project.
