Tuition and Financial Aid for International Students

Here you will find information for both undergraduate and graduate/advanced students regarding international tuition fees as well as scholarship/bursary information.

Undergraduate Graduate/Advanced

Undergraduate

International Tuition Guarantee

If you are an international student (not a Canadian citizen or Permanent Resident) entering the Bachelor of Arts, Bachelor of Science, Bachelor of Music or Bachelor of Journalism (Honours), you will be part of King’s International Student Tuition Guarantee.

The price a student pays for tuition would be the same in each year of their program, with the rate held for up to five years of study (four-year standard program length, plus one additional year if needed).

Guaranteed Tuition in 2024/25 – $33,814 per year (CAD), plus incidental fees (fees subject to change each year).

This tuition fee does not include the cost of housing or meal plan.

Nova Scotia International Student Program (NSISP) graduates eligible for domestic tuition

Starting in September 2025, NSISP graduates who attend King’s are eligible to pay out-of-province domestic tuition rates. These waivers are renewable up to four years of a student’s first undergraduate degree at King’s and applicants must be coming to King’s directly from high school. This means your approximate tuition savings would be over $20,000 per year! Email admissions@ukings.ca for details.

Scholarships

General Entrance Scholarships (value $2,000-$3,500) are based on your admission average – no scholarship application is required. All secondary students who apply for admission to King’s with a September entry (in the BA, BSc, BJH and BMus programs) will automatically be considered for these awards.

Major Entrance Scholarships are also available: the Ralph and Carrie Wright Memorial Scholarship (value $39,000) and the Debra Dean and Robert Little Academic Scholarship (value $20,000) are both open to international students. For these awards, an additional application is required and must be submitted before March 1.
