This course will focus on the essential skills journalists need to produce excellent work. It will include methods of finding facts and Instructors and Courses – Journalism 159 sources, digging below the surface and analysing the evidence. There will be special emphasis on interviewing. Students will learn how to find and use information tucked away in court, business and property records as well as in libraries and on the Internet. There will also be instruction in using Freedom of Information laws to get access to government files.
