Welcome Day is an exciting day on campus! This is when we welcome all of our residence and day students to campus!

See the schedule of events below so you know what to expect for Welcome Day 2023!

  1. Check King’s email for specific window of time students are invited to arrive and plan to arrive within that window of time.
  2. Ensure you have completed the Move In Checklist prior to your arrival:
    1. Upload a Profile Photo to your eRezLife Account
    2. Sign off on the Residence Agreement
    3. Sign off on the Residence Guidelines (if you signed off on the Residence Guidelines prior to July 24th, please re-review the Guidelines and initial in any areas that require it).
    4. Select Your Meal Plan via eRezLife.
    5. Instructions on how to complete these actions were sent to resident’s dal.ca emails over the summer (Non-King’s students: this info was sent to the email used in your application to residence). If you have any questions, please email residence@ukings.ca
    6. Complete this checklist before you arrive to speed up your check-in experience! Residents who have not completed this checklist by the time they arrive to check in will need to stop at an additional station where they can complete the actions before they receive their key package. When you arrive at campus, head to Prince Hall to visit our check in stations where students will be able to pick up their residence key packages, academic gowns and more!
  3. Pull into the Quad parking lot where you can unload all of your items on the lawn nearest your residence building.
  4. Due to space limitations, people moving in will not be able to park in the Quad parking lot. Residents and/or their Parents/Supporters can park their vehicles in the designated parking areas located just outside of King’s campus. Security staff will be onsite to guide folks to the designated parking areas.
  5. Walk back to your items and begin moving into your room!

The KSU O-Week Team will be around to help folks move in and our Residence Dons will also be around to welcome you to their communities!

There will also be a “Help Desk” where staff will be available to answer any questions you have.

If you are moving in after 11:30 a.m., you will be able to pick up your key packages from the Alex Hall Front Desk. There is a buzzer button at the front door that will connect to the Front Desk staff. Inform them you are here to check in and they will unlock the main door for you.
