Women's Volleyball sign Foulkes of Winnipeg

King’s Women’s Volleyball have completed signing Mira Foulkes of Winnipeg, Manitoba. Recruited as a libero, Foulkes will join the Blue Devils as a defensive specialist while head coach, Beate Shannon, retools ahead of the 2023-24 ACAA season. Presently enrolled at Sturgeon Heights Collegiate, Foulkes aided the Huskies to a MHSAA AAAA Manitoba Provincial Championship in the 2022-23 season. Outside of the school system, Mira represents WinMan Volleyball Club in the Manitoba club league.

“I chose King’s because of the smaller community and the atmosphere the women’s volleyball team has…the coaching staff have been so kind and welcoming” say Foulkes. “I’m looking forward to continuing to play volleyball while furthering my education as well as making many new friends. I’m really excited to be living on the east coast because it is so beautiful and I’ll also be close to family which is an added bonus.”

Mira intends to enroll in the Bachelor’s of Science program, while representing the Blue Devils on the volleyball court.
