Mike Dembeck is a Canadian photojournalist, filmmaker and multimedia professional based in Halifax, Nova Scotia. With over 20 years experience in producing visual editorial content, Mike divides his time between multimedia production and teaching at the University of King’s College.  With a passion for visual storytelling, content management, social media and all things editorial, Mike loves to focus his attention on environmental conservation and how digital media can foster that. Starting his journalism career at the Halifax Daily News in 1996, he has worked for many national and international news agencies, including The Canadian Press, The Globe and Mail and New York Times, in addition to the CBC, CTV and the Discovery Channel networks. Mike is a graduate of Acadia University, loves fly fishing and flosses daily.
