Dear King’s community,
I am pleased to announce that at its special meeting on May 8, 2025, the Board of Governors ratified the recommendation of the Vice-Presidential Search Committee to appoint Professor Tim Currie as Vice-President of the University of King’s College effective July 1, 2025.
I would like to thank Professor Currie for agreeing to be nominated to serve King’s as Vice-President and to extend congratulations to him on his appointment. I am very much looking forward to working with him.
On behalf of the Search Committee, I extend thanks to everyone in our community who participated in this process, and I offer appreciation to my fellow members of the VP Search Committee for their service and careful deliberations. I also thank Board Chair designate, Stephanie McGrath, who served as the Search Committee’s Chair, for her guidance and leadership throughout this process, and Pamela Hazel for her organization of the process.
In addition to welcoming Professor Currie, and on behalf of us all, I acknowledge with gratitude the dedicated service that Vice-President Dr. Sarah Clift has brought—and continues to bring —to King’s during her tenure. We have been extremely fortunate to have her leadership through the past four years. We will recognize and celebrate Sarah’s many and crucial contributions in an appropriate fashion in due course. For now, I will simply say that we have, with her leadership and hard work, made exceptional progress in upholding and advancing our academic mission during her tenure.
Please join me in thanking Sarah for her service and in welcoming Tim to the senior administrative team of the College.
Yours truly,
Bill
