Sam Hodd of Moncton signs for Men's Soccer

King’s Men’s Soccer has added their first recruit of the 2022-23 recruiting class, signing Sam Hodd of Moncton, New Brunswick. A product of Codiac Football Club, Hodd brings a decorated resume to the Blue Devils team sheet, boasting three consecutive Atlantic Championships with team New Brunswick and an appearance in the AAA division at the 2019 Toyota National Championships. Additionally, Hodd has captained the Moncton High School Purple Knights for his grade 12 year.

“I chose King’s because I had a positive experience with the team when I came down to train with some of the players, and I think Jamie [McGinnis] is an excellent coach. Also, I’ve heard great things about the Foundation Year Program,” says Hodd. “I am excited to start training and playing soccer for King’s in the fall and to try and help the team win the ACAA. Also, I am looking forward to living in Halifax and experiencing university life.”

Hodd intends to enrol in the Foundation Year Program and pursue a Bachelors of Journalism (Honours) while playing for the Blue Devils.
