People and places to turn to when you need mental and emotional support
King’s Pride runs events for queer and trans students throughout the school year.
Dal Out runs events and programming for 2SLGBQIA+ students at Dalhousie and King’s.
South House offers peer support, events, bursaries, community project funding and safer sex supplies. To reach South House, email info@southhousehalifax.org.
The Youth Project provides programming, support and education for 2SLGBTQIA+ youth 25 or under. They also have programming specifically for QTBIPOC youth.
Venus Envy is a sex-positive bookstore that stocks many gender-affirming garments and supplies. They also run workshops, events and support groups which are inclusive of queer and transgender communities.
MacPhee Centre for Creative Learning offers programming for youth aged 12-19 including a Gender and Sexuality Alliance and queer- and trans-focused arts programming.
This grassroots community group exists to support queer Arabs in Halifax with social and community-building events. Contact them via email or through their Facebook page.
