Counter Memory Activism Speaker Series

Campus closed for holidays: The King's campus is closed from end of day December 20 to January 2.

The research cluster Memory Activism: Collaborative Processes of Counter-Memorialization, consisting of faculty and students from the University of King’s College and NSCAD University, are facilitating a free online speaker series on the topic of memory activism between March 15 and May 5, 2021.

This is an interdisciplinary SSHRC-funded research-creation project consisting of curatorial work and research forwarding disruptive modes of memorialization and memory-keeping, including overlapping issues of resistance-memory and areas of connection between various experiences of difficult heritage. This series of collaborative discussions and keynote presentations will feature acclaimed local and international artists, filmmakers, activists, and scholars.

 Speaker Series

March 15 – May 5, 2021

The online discussion will be free to attend and accessible to the public. Hosted on Zoom, the virtual talks will be secure spaces where the audience will be able to listen and pose questions in the chat.
