According to the College’s constitution, the King’s Board of Governors is the supreme governing body of the University. The Governors manage the funds and property of the college, and the power of appointment of the President, professors and officials. The Board also appoints an Executive Committee. The Board consists of the Chancellor, the President, Vice-President, Treasurer, Bishop of Nova Scotia, Bishop of Fredericton, four members elected by the Diocese of Nova Scotia and the Diocese of Fredericton, President of the Alumni Association, three members elected by the Alumni Association, four members elected by the faculty, the President of the King’s Students’ Union, two members elected by the King’s Students’ Union, and not more than eight co-opted members. The Lord Archbishop of Canterbury is the Patron of the University, as provided by the Royal Charter, and the Bishop of Nova Scotia is the Visitor of the University.
