Remembrance Day commemorates the anniversary of the Armistice agreement, on 11 November 1918, that ended the First World War. The University will be closed.
At 5 p.m. there will be a simple service of remembrance in the Chapel. Names of Kings military personnel who perished in conflict will be read. There will be no sermon, and no glorification of war. The service will include silence, music from members of the Chapel Choir directed by FYP student Gabriel O’Brien, and prayers for peace from various traditions.
All Kings students and staff are invited, as well as members of the wider community.
